Passion

PAssion is what drives us.

This is a word i've been hearing from God. Passion. His passion for us. His burning passion. Our god is a god of emotions. he is not just a god who says he loves us, he is passionate about us!!

What do i mean? God fights for us. He is our strength and shield. He is our strong tower. he defends us, he avenges us. He covers us. He desires a relationship with us. What else can it be but love?

We say that god loves us. But many times we think that means god wnats us to have a good life, a life worth living. And we forget, god loves us as a man loves his wife, as a bride and bridegroom loves each other. With passion. With intimacy. With a love that is alive, in emotions. With a love that is alive with power. Jesus died for us, not on a whim or a dare, not just because he loved god, because he did, but he did it also because he loved us. God withhold calling legions of armies to save jesus from the time simply because he loved us. He was passionate enough for us that he allowed his son to suffer, and his son suffered because he too loved us with a love that could die.

God is crazy about us. And i mean, he created us for fellowship. He did not need man, he had the holy spirit and jesus. He created animals before man. But he made man special. A cut above the rest. A mould unlike any other. He made man to commune with god, and to do that, he made man to be able to commune with him. And he made man to commune with one another. Ever fibre of our being is an image of God. Our emotions come from God. Every feeling we have, god has. The only probelem is when we let those emo ou of the box and into the wild.

God is passionate about his people. He does not sit back and wait for us, he does not hold a cane for us to be whipped when we sin, he actively pursues us. He calls us in the morning, he speaks to us in nature. In our desires, in our hobbies, all things are created by him for us. He wants us to be satisified in him before anything else. God is a passionate god.

As i wirte this, i know i will be sharing about this in church. Pray for me ok?

Love

Love is not practical. It never is.

Look around you. Jack sacrificed his life for Rose. Romeo chose death over a life without Juliet. Jesus chose to be whipped, spat upon, nailed on a cross to die for love.

Love is not practical nor free. It costs something.

I had dinner with my parents at home. And now i learnt something. Curses are transgenerational. My parents are practical. Roses, rings, presents are all useless, waste of money. Tithing to church, giving help to others, all worthless efforts. Love is when there is food on the table for you. Love is for others.

Maybe that is why i am so unromantic. A part of me realises that i need to break out of this curse. That i need to be free to think for myself and see that no, love needs sacrifice to grow. Love needs to be fed. love may need presents, or flowers, or anything, but above it all, love needs Time. It needs us to go out and say, I am passionate about you, and i want to know you and make you feel like the princess of the world. The most treasured being in the world.

Love is not cheap, it is not about myself. It is about the other person. It is and will always be about the other person. the moment you say, if you love me, then you do not love, but merely lust.

They say that no man will be willing to die for a good man. A great man, some might consider dying. Only someone who loves so much would die for everyone.

Another thing.

I learnt that my dad is very stubborn. He believes that if he cannot understand, that means the idea is wrong. Christianity is so real for me because it provides answers that no one else can. The creation of life. The story of our world. The intricate planning of the bible. How is it that one can read the bible, seriously read it, and be able to say that there is no God. The man who says that there is no god does not know love.

That brings us back to the first point does it not? love is about sacrifice. It is about ther other person, it is about a cost that you are willing to pay not so that you can earn something, but that you earn simply by giving.

I have six modules. FOur of them have tutorials on Monday. Another one is on thu. and i am just dying here. And it is week what and i am far behind in tuts.

And i have not qted. And i feel stressed.
