Sharing

When people share, they are sharing their hearts.

If we try to correct their sharing, we miss the rare chance of entering into people's hearts. Listen instead to the heart beat behind every word that people share, and be less concerned about the theological meaning of the sharing. SO many times we encourage peopel to run hard after God, which is good, but when people are sharing and you hear something wrong, dun be quick to correct and judge, but wait, listen and ask God to show you what the person is really saying. Listen.

Exhort

I felt i needed to blog this.

Be the best. We each need to run hard after God SO that we can achieve our destiny in Christ. No one else can do our job better than us, because God called us. We are His First Choice, God calls us.

We need to grab hold of our destiny, in whatever field, do our best that we may bring the greatest glory to God. In the position of our calling, where God calls we need to excel that others may see both US and God.

Bible tells us, God exalts the humble; The humble are those who know who they are in christ. They know their abilities, their skills. They are aware of who they are, and who God is. God exalts them. We have to be living excellence on earth, that God may get glory. If we are doing something for God and it is not good, then we need to check ourselves; is it because we are not putting effort or is it because God does not want us there.

I believe if God calls us to a career, job, task, opportunity to shine for Him, it means we CAN shine for Him. There are times, when God calls us to do something and it does not work out, i do not rule that out, but then, the heart of the matter remains; Do we give our all for God?

No one can do the job God gave you better than anyone else.

updates

I got baptised yesterday.

Yup yup so haha today is the first day of the rest of my life. Lets pray that i have decided to follow Jesus, i wun let go, neither will i lose grip on my walk with God.

But here is something me and a friend talked about a few days ago. She insists that she retains the copyright.

Why i blog about this one issue, is because i felt it was interesting.

We were discussing sin, and it's consequences. Does forgiveness from God absolve you of the consequence of sin?

I think we can safely say that with regards to sin bringing forth death, then yes forgiveness of God due to the sacrifice of Jesus deals with that. But how about the physical consequences?

My friend's conclusion was (and i agree with her):

*** says: (11:14:33 PM)

God's forgiveness gives you the grace and what you need to bear the consequences of your sin

*** says: (11:14:56 PM)

salvation gives you forgiveness, not erasing of consequences

I believe God gives us the grace to bear the consequences of sin. David had to bear the consequences of his sin (losing his son, his kingdom never reaching the same heights before the fall), Abraham too (lying to Pharoah about Sarah, resulting in his children doing the same thing).

But Saul did not fully repent, instead he wanted restoration without repentance. That caused him to fall hard. David had the grace of God, which was why he managed to finish his race well. Among the bible heroes, there are many who started well, very few who ended well. I believe David's sin caused him to end lesser well then he would have, yet for God's grace, he still ended well enough. His kingdom did not fall.

Sold For God

This season is so messy.

On the one hand, God is teaching me about life. And the two things are simple. In fact the two words are:

Simplicity
Responsibility

Simplicity means this: The whole message of the bible is that God loves you. Full Stop. Anything else is theology.

Consider this analogy:
Economics at it's most foundational level is simply scarcity. Because of that, there is demand and supply. Everything else is simply peripheral.

If you are doing physics, the fundamental is simply the energy, whilst Mathematics is making order out of chaos. Of course there are other levels, but at it's rawest form, this is what it is.

It is the same with Christianity. God's whole thrust is this "I Love You". He made us so that He could love us. God made us to love us. God is LOVE, that is His nature, and His name. How awesome.

And that is the whole crux of the message for me this time. God Loves me.

The second is Responsibility

It does not mean a burden or duty, but it means to respond. God loves us, so our duty is to love Him back. Because the love God has for us is not the same love a couple has, it is a love a parent has for their child, and then some. We say that we should love our parents because they love us, how much more our heavenly father.

The truth is, we need to be sold for God. In my life, i need to surrender all for God. Today God challenge me, to really live it all for Him. To really die to self, so that His will (and hence me =p) be done. I want to do that. Trust Him.

Also God promised me that His plans for me are exactly what would make me the best. The best i can be. Only trust Him. He will never fail.

In this stage, i will run hard, fly hard, never let go. Cos there is nothing else worth living for.
